Volunteer at The Arc! Get involved to help us advocate for, educate, serve, and support people with disabilities and their families by volunteering!

Reading to preschool students

Share the joy of reading with students at Open Door Learning Center preschool. Volunteers can engage with students by reading aloud and fostering a love for books.

Disability Resource Fair – May

Help us run our annual Disability Resource Fair, a community event that connects families and individuals with local resources, services, and support. Volunteers assist with setup, greet attendees, and help with event logistics, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience for all.

iCanBike Camp – June

Help individuals with disabilities learn to ride a bike through this transformative week-long camp. Volunteers are needed to support campers as they practice balance, coordination, and confidence. No experience is required, just enthusiasm and a desire to help participants achieve this milestone.

Care to Dance – September / October

Helping with event logistics, marketing, community outreach, and donor engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in nonprofit management, event planning, fundraising, marketing, and supporting people with disabilities.

Elf’s Holiday Giving – November

Become a holiday elf by participating in our annual gift-giving program! Volunteers help purchase gifts, gift cards, organize, wrap, and distribute gifts to families in need during the holiday season.

Sensory Santa – December

Help create a memorable holiday experience for families this holiday. As a volunteer, you will help create a calm and welcoming environment where each child can meet Santa at their own pace.

Hold a Fundraiser

The Arc of Loudoun relies on community support to sustain our programs. Some fundraising ideas include birthdays (ask for donations instead of gifts), trivia night (as for donations or entry fee), pickleball tournament, garage sale, car wash, or partner with a gym or yoga studio to have an instructor donate a class. Feel free to create your own!

Gift Card Collection

Collect gift cards to Target, Walmart, and grocery stores that The Arc of Loudoun can use to support families in need. Any amount is appreciated.
