You Belong Here: Disability Awareness and Accessibility Training for Business
November 19 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Open your business’s doors to a group that includes more than a quarter of all adults in the US—people with disabilities.
You Belong Here training is all about making restaurants, breweries, wineries, hotels, event venues and retail establishments—every business in the hospitality and tourism industry in Loudoun County—accessible and welcoming. By learning how to accommodate people with disabilities in your business, you’ll increase the number of job candidates who apply, and you’ll open your doors to guests a guest who may need support. Satisfied customers and guests recommend you to others and keep coming back!
The Arc of Loudoun’s You Belong Here Disability Awareness and Accessibility Training helps businesses and their staff realize, understand and address the barriers people with all types of disabilities may face when they try to shop, stay or work at those businesses. The training can also help businesses understand how people with disabilities find and choose a place to visit, shop or work.
Participants who complete the $25, two-hour training will also receive handy reference materials to take back to the workplace, along with a certificate of completion and “You Belong Here” window cling to stand out from the crowd and show visitors your commitment to accessibility.
