Aurora Behavior Clinic welcomes ages 3 – 17 to join our 8-week Summer Social Skills Group Therapy classes! Each class is run by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and each social skills topic is taught using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy techniques and learning principles.
Build cognitive and language skills while fostering appropriate communication with peers
Enhance communication skills and sensory integration
Support making and maintaining friendships, problem solving skills, self-esteem, self-awareness, and general happiness around peers
Sessions are held once per week from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. To use insurance, all paperwork must be completed and returned no later than March 22.
New clients: $200 initial intake
Returning clients: $150 reassessment
$90 per session or $700 for full 8 weeks ($20 discount)

Weekly Topics & Schedule
Sessions are held once per week from 5 – 6 p.m. Group placement may not always be specific to age, but instead, specific to skills based on assessment and caregiver report. Group classes may change according to the demand of each group and age level.
Group A, Ages 7-12, Mondays or Wednesdays: Greetings/Name, Sharing/Taking Turns, Being a Good Friend, Communication/On-topic Exchanges, Whole Body Listening, Expressing Emotions, Being a Good Sport, Putting it All Together
Group B, Ages 3-6, Tuesdays: Intro/Initiating Conversations, Interactions, Safety, Mindfulness, Conversation Skills, Social Cues, Bullying, Conversations
Group C, Ages 13-17, Thursdays: Introductions, Overcoming Bullying, Family Dynamics, Emotion Regulation, Self-Advocacy/Disclosure, Social Media Interactions, Adolescent Social Norms, Conflict Resolution
