Aurora Behavior Clinic welcomes children ages 6 to 15 to join the clinic’s 8-week Social Skills Group Therapy classes!
Each class is run by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and each social skills topic is taught using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy techniques and learning principles!
Schedule:
Ages 6-10: Tuesdays 5 – 6 pm
Ages 11 – 15: Wednesdays 5 – 6 pm (Students may be placed in a different age group based on skills assessment.)
Prices:
Per class: $80
New clients: $200 Includes initial evaluation, assessment and treatment plan.
Returning clients: $150 reassessment fee One year after the initial assessment.
Insurance coverage is only accepted for current clients of Aurora Behavior Clinic receiving ABA services. ABC can provide the appropriate form to request reimbursement from your insurance carrier, but reimbursement is not guaranteed. Prerequisites:
Social Skills Groups are not considered one-on-one ABA therapy, and we do not focus on decreasing inappropriate behaviors. The goal of these group classes is meant to build cognitive and language skills while fostering appropriate communication with peers. These classes offer support for enhancing communication skills and sensory integration for outcomes such as making friends, maintaining friendships, problem solving skills, self-esteem, self-awareness, and general happiness around peers.
The following prerequisites must be met before attending classes:
Ability to follow instructions and a routine
Ability to ask and answer questions
Ability to participate in activities independently and in group
Ability to ask and use the restroom independently
Social Skills Groups may not be a good fit if your child exhibits the following behaviors:
