At Aurora Behavior Clinic (ABC Clinic) we use the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA Therapy) for children with autism, behavior challenges, language and communication delays and other related disabilities. We have a specialized curriculum focused on improving your child’s verbal behavior, communication skills, social skills, and academic skills. In addition, we also work on increasing your child’s appropriate behaviors. Most importantly, we create a program that works for you and your child!

Aurora Behavior Clinic is currently housed in Leesburg, Virginia, in the stone barns at The Arc of Loudoun.

 

 

 

NOW OPEN FOR AFTER SCHOOL HOURS

Due to popular demand, Aurora Behavior Clinic is now accepting clients for after school hours, 3:30-5:00pm, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. 30-minute increment sessions are offered at: 30 minutes, 1 hour, and 1.5 hours. If interested, please complete an inquiry form and signify “After School Hours” in the “Please tell us more…” section.

Our team at Aurora Behavior Clinic works with children who are diagnosed on the autism spectrum or have other related disabilities, as well as their families, caregivers and the professionals who work with them.   • In-home Trainings will teach parents how to carry ABA therapy principles learned in the classroom into the home and community settings
  • Professional Crisis Management (PCM) Training: PCM Training teaches a range of non-physical and physical strategies for managing crisis situations safely and effectively. Other methods teach intervention techniques only after individuals have become aggressive, self-injurious, or disruptive. PCM, however, focuses primarily on prevention.

Preschool Advantage 

While providing one-on-one ABA therapy sessions, we can also provide one-on-one support services, in an inclusive preschool classroom setting with peers.

Each child with autism and other related disabilities has the unique opportunity to learn behavioral, social and pre-academic skills in a natural environment (play-based) setting using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Applied Behavior Analysis – ABA Therapy

Aurora Behavior Clinic uses the principles of ABA therapy in all of its programming. ABA therapy uses basic behavior principles to reinforce wanted behavior (including learning, verbal behavior, etc.) and decrease unwanted behavior (including challenging behavior, tantrums, and more).

Tuesdays during the school year,  5:30pm-6:30pm

We are currently full for Spring 2019 Social Skills and not accepting inquiries. Please check back in May 2019 for more information on the Fall 2019 Social Skills group. 

Groups are designed for students who need coaching in peer relationships and conversations using the principles of Verbal Behavior and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA Therapy.) The ideal participant is able to converse with others but may need prompting to initiate or respond to peers.
